Brief CV

Cristina Alcaraz is currently a guest researcher at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and a postdoctoral researcher from the University of Malaga. She received her PhD. in computer science in 2011 from the same University, as well as her MSc. and Bsc. degrees in 2003 and 2006, respectively. In 2007, she also received her Master in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. Her research activities are mainly focused on Critical Information Infrastructure Protection, and more precisely on secure monitoring of critical infrastructures, security of SCADA systems and Smart Grids, as well as the use of Wireless Sensor Networks for protection of critical systems. She is author and of several papers belonging to different journals and conferences on CIIP. Finally, she is actively participating as a program committee member of several international conferences related to the research topic and as a reviewer of several international journals, such as IEEE Transaction on Smart Grid, Sensors or Communications.

Interesting Tools

  • KMS CRISIS Guidelines - Security through Usability
    • Given the requirements of a scenario where the motes (sensor nodes) are going to be deployed, KMS guidelines automatically choose the KMS that would be more suitable for that certain scenario.
