SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

Francisco Ortega Zamorano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages and Computer Science at the University of Málaga (UMA) and the current Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Telematics Engineering at the School of Telecommunication Engineering (E.T.S.I.). He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2015), an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence (2013), and a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering (2011), all from University of Málaga.

His career includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, supported by a government excellence scholarship, and a period at the prestigious Yachay Tech University in Ecuador as a lecturer. He is a member of the ICB research group, part of the Biomedical Research Institute of Málaga (IBIMA).

His main research interests include real-time neurocomputational systems design, intelligent sensor networks, deep learning, and natural language processing. He has co-authored numerous scientific publications in high-impact journals and conferences, resulting from his participation in various research projects.
