km. from Malaga downtown)
MAP OF SITUATION IN THE CAMPUS (Map)
The Computer Science and Telecommunications Schools share the same
building at the Campus. The whole building is known as "Complejo Tecnológico",
and is located in the west corner of the Campus, in front of the Clinical
Hospital.

The bus lines to Teatinos Campus are number 8,20 (from and to downtown)
and 22 (from and to Avenida de Velázquez)- Please see bus

Clinico". Please see map.

GETTING TO THE CAMPUS BY BIKE
Follow Avenida Herrera Oria until you reach Teatinos Campus. Do not
take the route recommended for cars, as it uses highways which do not have
proper bike lines.
GETTING TO THE CAMPUS WALKING
We do not recommend walking to the campus from the center of the city.
The distance is 6 km and the access is difficult.
GETTING TO THE CAMPUS BY TAXI
Taxis are not very expensive in Málaga, so they are a good option
to move around. A taxi from downtown to the campus costs around 6 euros
and takes about 15 minutes (depending on the traffic, of course).

Hotels
General Information
There are different hotels in Malaga where you can stay during the conference.
We have made a selection and if you want, you can book the hotel through
the ICALP 2002 registration
form. Hotels have different prices and categories. There will be buses
in the morning and in the evening from hotels to the conference site and
come back. Here are some hints to choose.
Buses are scheduled from the hotels in Malaga to the conference site.
Please notice that there is no scheduled bus to hotels in Torremolinos,
or to the Halls of Residence. If you choose one of these you have to get
to the conference site by your own. Torremolinos, is at the sea side, 14
km. to the west of Malaga, and there is no good public transportation to
the conference site. You may consider to take taxis or rent a car in this
case.
From University Residence to the conference site it takes about 25-30
minutes walking. It is located far from the city center.
Hotels "Los Naranjos" and "Las Vegas" are not located in the city center,
but you can take a bus to the center or go walking (30 minutes). They are
located near the beach.
All other hotels are located in the city center, or less than 10 minutes
walking to the city center. There are public transportation from the city
center to the University campus, every 10 minutes it takes aproximately
30 minutes. (bus number 20, see bus maps)
