Parte B. RESUMEN LIBRE DEL CURRÍCULUM (máximo
3500 caracteres, incluyendo espacios en blanco)
Obtengo
A
congresos internacionales.
English
Version
I received the M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees in computer engineering from the University of Málaga, in 1990 and
1998, respectively. From 1991 to 2000, I was an Assistant Professor with the
Department of Languages and Computer Science, University of Málaga, where I
have been an Associate Professor, since 2001.
Regarding my research career, I am a
member of the GISUM research group (Software Engineering Group of the
University of Malaga), created in 1989. It appears in the catalog of
consolidated research groups of the “Junta de Andalucía” since 1990, with
reference TIC-136. Within this group, I have participated mainly in 4 lines of
research. In the early years (1990-1995) I got involved in the line of
"Concurrent Logic Programming", collaborating in the achievement of
various doctoral theses of colleagues in the group. Later I started my research
in the line of "Coordination Models and Languages", covering
approximately from 1996 to 2009. Within this second line of research, I did my
doctoral thesis (1998), providing a coordination model for parallel and
distributed programming, and I directed a thesis (2008) in which the
coordination paradigm was applied to the field of scientific applications. With
the aim of continuing to use the Coordination Paradigm (with the consequent
benefits that it brings) in other fields, from approximately 2005 to date, I am
immersed in the line of "High-level Programming Models and Middleware for
Wireless Networks of Sensors and Actors”, within which I have directed 3
doctoral theses (two in 2012 and one in 2014). Based on the experience obtained
in this third line of research, I am currently also involved in a fourth line
that addresses the "Integration of the Internet of Things (IoT - Internet
of Things) with Cloud Computing". It is a new field that is currently
generating a lot of interest at the international level. Within this line I
have already directed one more doctoral thesis (2018). Finally, and within the context of that IoT/Edge/Fog/Cloud
Hierarchical Architecture, I am immersed in work related to the
development of Intelligent and Distributed Digital Twins focussed on
Industry 4.0 and Smart Agriculture.
Throughout my career as a researcher,
I have participated in 4 European projects, 13 national and 4 autonomous. Of
the latter, in 2 I have been the Principal Investigator. On the other hand, I
have participated in the publication of 36 articles in international journals
(27 indexed in JCR) and 37 articles in international conferences
